This excellent book is an attempt by Dr. Rupal Desai (a student and colleague of Dr. Rajan Sankaran) to establish common themes among the various plant families, to show an order or structure to the plant sensitivities. She has “--- gathered maximum information possible from various sources like botany, herbal and flower remedy books, mythology, history, biochemistry, toxicology, medical books, provings, materia medica, etc. for each and every individual plant.” This Materia Medica covers the following plant families: - fungi, apocynaceae, loganiaceae, solanaceae, compositae, rubiaceae, anarcardiaceae, liliaceae and ranunculaceae. More than 130 individual remedies are described as well as summaries for each of the family groups. It also includes a separate booklet containing “Illustrative cases of plant remedies”.
