Dr. George Royal was Professor of Homeopathic Materia Medica and Therapeutics at the State University of Iowa for thirty years, President and Chairman of the Council of Medical Education of the American Institute of Homeopathy as well as being a member of many Homeopathic groups. He is the author of many books on Homeopathy – this one being one of his major works and is based on his more than 45 years of practice. It is divided into four sections: - the 'algias' such as – herpes, sciatica and infantile convulsions; the 'itises' such as – meningitis, neuritis, and myelitis; the functional changes such as – chorea, delirium, delusions, epilepsy, hysteria, insomnia, paranoia, vertigo etc.; and the structural changes such as – cerebral haemorrhage, embolism, hyper and hypo thyroidism, thrombosis, tumours of the brain etc. He gives the: - description, aetiology, pathology, symptoms, diagnosis, prognosis etc. of each of them as well as their Homeopathic treatment.
