This book was first published in 1867 and was edited by Dr. Constantine Hering. It compares 110 common remedies with other remedies that have a similar action to themselves so that the differences between them is quickly apparent. For example, Calcarea is compared to 34 other remedies, Cannabis to 5 others and Carbo. veg. to 14 others. It has a table format for ease of comparison and is a great reference work in the hunt for the similimum. It also contains a comprehensive introduction and a pharmaceutical key by Dr. Hering.
