Dr. Dudgeon says in his preface that to understand the great impact that Hahnemann has had on the world “--- it is necessary to study not only his more finished and larger works, “The Organon”, “The Pure Materia Medica”, and “The Chronic Diseases”, but also his miscellaneous medical writings, which I have here collected into one volume”. This book contains 51 of these “miscellaneous writings” including: - a view of professional liberality at the commencement of the nineteenth century, cure and prevention of scarlet fever, the effects of coffee, aesculopius in the balance, helleborism of the ancients, spirit of Homeopathy, the uncharitableness towards suicides, warnings against allopathy etc. It is a fascinating read.
