Dr. James Compton Burnett (1840 – 1901) was a master Homeopath noted for his ardent defence of Homeopathy. He could be bellicose and cutting as well as empathic and a proud family man. He writes in a clear, conversational and engaging way and was a prolific author. This was his ninth book, published in1887 and deals with organotherapy, Rademacher’s philosophy as well as the specific diseases of the spleen and their homeopathic treatment.
