Here we have a living piece of homeopathic history, due to the enormous efforts of some extraordinarily dedicated homeopaths. In the 1970’s Dr Ahmed Currim realized that the post-war editions of Kent’s repertory had continued to be reprinted without the benefit of Kent’s corrections. He discovered the existence of Kent’s own repertory, annotated and corrected, along with two other repertories into which every correction had been hand copied. What followed was an Indiana Jones-like search involving Interpol, seven years of diligent searching over several continents and an unswaying determination to uncover Kent’s “Treasure”, which, by that time, had been cut into thousands of pieces and hidden in a small wood hut in the fields of a remote part of India. After another two years of piecing the Treasure back together, all of Kent’s annotations were ready to be included, correcting several thousand errors.
The Essential Synthesis includes not only the corrections of Kent’s repertory, but 333 hand-written additions he made in his personal copy of Hering’s Guiding Symptoms. It contains only the proven essentials in homeopathy, clinically confirmed material without theoretical, dream or meditative provings. Also available for the first time in printed form is a comprehensive chapter of Veterinary information.
This is the perfect repertory for students and practitioners alike. It comes complete with a CD which is a read-only version of The Essential Synthesis with all author references and cross references, and the accompanying Textbook of Repertory Language, which includes Dr Ahmed Currims’s full account of his adventures.
