Fritjof Capra received his Ph.D. in theoretical physics from the University of Vienna and has done research in high-energy physics at several European and American universities. He writes and lectures extensively about the philosophical implications of modern science and is the author of several books, including The Turning Point and The Web of Life. He is a founding director of the Centre for Ecoliteracy in Berkeley, California, and lives in Berkeley with his wife and daughter. This updated, 25th anniversary edition of the book is subtitled “An Exploration of the Parallels between Modern Physics and Eastern Mysticism” and includes in the contents: - The way of physics, The way of Eastern Mysticism, and The Parallels between the two - including the unity of all things, space-time, the dynamic universe, emptiness and form, and pattens of change.
