Fritjof Capra received his Ph.D. in theoretical physics from the University of Vienna and has done research in high-energy physics at several European and American universities. He writes and lectures extensively about the philosophical implications of modern science and is the author of several books, including The Turning Point and The Web of Life. He is a founding director of the Centre for Ecoliteracy in Berkeley, California, and lives in Berkeley with his wife and daughter.
