Edwin Moses Hale (1829-1899) was a prodigious author having over 50 books to his credit. He came to Homeopathy after being cured of pneumonia by it and established a large practice in Michigan from 1852 onwards. This book is a collection of lectures that he delivered to the Hahnemann Medical College in Chicago in 1870-71 as well as containing several other papers relating to disorders of the heart such as: - the influence of the mind over the heart, emotional influences, effects of tobacco on the heart etc. etc. He has included a repertory specifically dealing with heart symptoms as well as a Materia Medica of heart remedies. He covers the functional, inflammatory and organic diseases of the heart. This is an in-depth study of the homeopathic treatment of heart disease.
